“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

Today is Good Friday, when we remember Christ’s ultimate act of love and sacrifice. It’s a solemn and sacred moment in the Christian calendar. As we reach the heart of Holy Week, we’re invited to pause and reflect more deeply.
What if we let this day and this weekend be an invitation to slow down?
What if we made space both in our homes and hearts for stillness, simplicity, and sacred reflection?
Minimalism isn’t just about having less. It’s about making space for what truly matters. It’s the quiet practice of removing distractions so our hearts can rest where they belong. And while Jesus is always at the center, Good Friday invites us to turn our full attention to Him, remember His sacrifice, and be present at the foot of the cross.
Today, we are called not to do more but to be still. To reflect on His love, His suffering, and His grace.
That might look like:
Spending a few quiet minutes in prayer or reading the Passion story.
Unplugging from social media or screens to create space for silence.
Letting go of busyness and simply being present in the moment
Reflecting on the meaning of the cross and writing a short prayer or journal entry.
Minimalism gives us the gift of presence. Good Friday invites us to be fully present with Christ in the sorrow, stillness, and sacredness of this day.
So, let’s gently declutter our thoughts, schedules, and spaces, making room for remembrance.
Because sometimes, the most sacred moments are found not in doing more, but in doing less.
